We were on our first weekend getaway, we took a short trip to Nashville. While we were there we had a walking tour of the famous donut shops in the area scheduled. The morning of the tour it was cancelled due to weather. We were both excited to go on the tour and try some delicious donuts, so in true Heather fashion we improvised and found another donut shop to go visit. When we pulled up the building was so cool, we were so hyped to get inside! “The Donut Distillery” serves all of their items in these cute mini flights; donuts, mimosas, beers and libations. We had the best time and the drinks and donuts did not disappoint! While waiting on our order there was a claw machine in the corner filled with little rubber ducks, we walked over, put in a dollar and played one round. Out of the hundreds of different types of ducks, the one that we (Heather) caught in the claw was the Mexican duck! We fell in love that weekend and as fate would have it, out of all the ducks in the world I found mine, the Mexican duck… we named him Javi and he sits on our nightstand beside a picture of us from that weekend.
