Lake Tahoe is about an hour and a half from Fallon. It is absolutely beautiful and if you are staying for the weekend it is worth the drive up.
Virginia City, NV is an old mining town which has lots of little shops and mines to explore. It is a fun town and only about an hour from Fallon.
Carson City is our state capitol and has many government buildings. It also has a cute downtown area which includes many shops, casinos, and restaurants.
Our town has a historic main street with a few cute shops such as Cranberry Cottage and Memorie Boutique. We have 5 casinos our favorites are Stockman's and The Depot. Some of our favorite restaurants are The Grid (which is a brewpub), Slanted Porch, Courtyard Cafe and Bakery (breakfast and lunch only), and Ana's Restaurant ( we love her breakfast). As this will be Fall Festival time in our community Lattin Farms Fall Festival will be going on Friday and Saturday. Friday's hours are 4pm-8pm and Saturday 10am-8pm. (I think these times are correct I will edit when it gets closer with accurate hours). There is a corn maze, lots of vendors, and an old fashioned hayride out to the pumpkin patch. Frey Ranch is our award winning Distillery. They have a free tasting and tour (small facility would not take long) at 12pm-4pm on Saturdays if you are wanting to check it out before the ceremony. It is 10 mins from the venue.
Reno is about an hour west of Fallon. There is many casino resorts, outlet shopping at Legends, axe throwing, brewpubs, and other activities.
