2020, COVID lockdowns made it near impossible to meet people and date. Lucky for us we had a good friend and Heathers lash lady, Schelene, playing matchmaker. She sent each of us the others Instagram profiles and we agreed to go on a date. We hit it off and toughed out some cold winter Covid outdoor dining dates to continue to see each other.

In April 2024 we had planned a trip to Key West with Heathers parents for Heather and her mom’s birthdays. Little did Heather know, Cameron had been scheming a proposal. A couple weeks before the trip, the ring arrived and the plan was put into motion. Cameron booked a private sailboat for a sunset cruise. Heather, thinking we were going on one of the large group sunset booze cruises, was surprised when we walked passed all the boats to the end of the marina and arrived at our private boat. With the help of Heathers parents, the boat captain and his first mate, a successful proposal was executed at sunset!
