This isn't really an option and more of a must-do! A place not to be missed! One our favorite things to do in Denver! Recently resurrected by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, this 50,000 square foot Mexican-American restaurant comes equipped with cliff divers, puppet and magic shows, and other fun attractions. If interested, be aware that reservations are hard to get, so get reservations in as early as possible. Before your visit, watch the Casa Bonita episode of South Park (season 7, episode 11 - “Casa Bonita”) for some laughs and the documentary, ¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor!, for info about the renovations Matt and Trey funded for the resurrection of Casa Bonita!
With only a few locations around the States, Meow Wolf Convergence Station is a must for all kaleidoscopic, immerse art fanatics. This permanent exhibition features the collaborative work of over 110+ artists and even a 'cosmic mystery' that can only be solved by exploring the depths of Convergence Station. For a very unique art experience, Meow Wolf can't be missed!
Located in the heart of the city, Denver's Botanic Gardens are absolutely stunning! Full of amazing plant life and incredible architecture, a walk around the gardens is highly recommended. Maybe lunch afterwards? Who knows, this is your trip!
Oh Em Gee, where to start... We don't have many suggestions as there are so many beautiful places to hike around the Denver area. Just remember that if you do plan a hike that altitude sickness is NO JOKE! Give yourself time to get acclimated before you get up into the high country. Another word of advice is to hike early. You should be off summit and making your descent by noon. Summer storms roll in fast and the potential for lightning is very real. Plus, hiking in the rain isn't too much fun. If you plan accordingly and respect the high altitude/ quickly changing weather you'll be fine. Now, go chase those views!
