Hotel
The bride and groom will be staying here for the events! There is no group rate, but if you’d like to be nearby, this is a great choice.
Travel Note
We highly recommend flying into Bradley International Airport (BDL—Hartford/Springfield) if you are able. It is by far the closest airport—only a 30-40 minute drive to Southington. Another convenient option for some travelers may be Tweed Airport in New Haven. It is tiny, but offers affordable trips to many connecting airports. This is also only a 30-40 minute drive. The New York City airports (JFK, LGA, EWR), Logan Airport (BOS) in Boston, and TF Green (PVD) in Providence, RI are the next closest options for most major airlines. Southington is roughly a 2 hour drive from each.
Travel Note
If you aren’t planning to rent a car during your stay, taking the train is a great way to get from the airport to Southington! The closest station to our wedding is in Meriden on the Hartford line. From there, it’s easy to get a ride share to your hotel. The CTrails app is the best way to purchase tickets. From Bradley International (Hartford): take “Route 24 Bus Shuttle” or Uber/Lyft to Windsor Locks station. Take train southbound (New Haven) to Meriden. From NYC airports: Navigate to Grand Central. Take train eastbound (New Haven Union Station). Change trains to Hartford line northbound (Springfield) to Meriden. We highly recommend utilizing the MTA app while in New York to plan your trip and see schedules. Typically, if we are flying into JFK or LGA, it is easier and cheaper to take the Long Island Rail Road to Grand Central than it is to Uber/Lyft. Be mindful of peak commute times on weekdays. From Logan Airport (Boston): this is one of the trickier options to navigate, but it can be done. There are multiple options for buses and trains from South Station. Virtually any train that stops in New Haven will be an easy transfer to the Hartford line. From TF Green (Providence): take the Amtrak from the adjoining TF Green train station westbound (New Haven). Transfer to Hartford line northbound (Springfield) to Meriden.
