Hattie's Tap & Tavern
Yes, we’re having our welcome party here but stop by for a drink or two before the ceremony if you please and tell them we sent you. They’re opening an hour early for us on the day of the wedding (4:00 p.m.)!

This is where we’re having our reception, but we would be remiss if we left off PS for dinner for those of you arriving on Thursday or want to grab a bite before the welcome party on Friday. Tell Amber and Dean (the owners) that Dane and Hattie sent you! Oh and order the dirty and dill-ightful with gin if you know what’s good.
Bar à Vins
This is one of Hattie's favorite spots in Charlotte. Sit at the bar, order the olives and some bread and butter and settle in for a glass of wine or two.
Humbug
The philosophy behind Humbug's beverage program is to be “Always Delicious, Never Pretentious.” They bridge the gap between the Modern Craft Cocktail Bar and laid back neighborhood bar. If you're craving a craft cocktail or a killer espresso martini, this place is for you.
Rosie's Cafe
Whether you're looking for a good cup of coffee or a good glass of wine, Rosie's has it all. Don't forget to check out the rose garden in the back!
Thirsty Beaver Saloon
Head over for a few cans of cheap beer and some pool at one of Charlotte's most quintessential dive bars. Don't forget to bring some change for the juke box.
Common Market
A casual spot to grab a sandwich and other vittles. Sit outdoors or grab a sandwich to go and hop around to one of the many breweries in the area.
Ever Andalo
In the mood for fabulous Italian food? Make a reservation at Ever Andalo, start out with their focaccia and come hungry -- it's family style!
Haberdish
If you're looking for some fried chicken and a good Southern meal, Haberdish is the place for you. Whether you're there for brunch or dinner, you're sure to leave with a full belly.
Lang Van
A favorite of both Hattie and Dane, this was the first restaurant we tried after moving to Charlotte and it never disappoints (it's right down the street from our house!). It's another Charlotte staple and after visiting once, you'll understand why.
Supperland
Another Southern food staple in Charlotte -- but make it upscale. Be sure to make a reservation and head over a little early to check out the Bar at Supperland right next door.
Mint Museum Plaza
Looking for something to do before the festivities begin? Check out some of the amazing art at the Mint Museum in Uptown Charlotte. Don't forget to pop over to the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art right next door and snag a selfie with the Firebird before heading into the museum.
Crowders Mountain State Park
Just a short 60-minute drive from Uptown Charlotte, Crowders Mountain State Park offers stunning views and great hikes. If you're wanting to go for a hike but don't feel like driving an hour, Charlotte has a plethora of great parks and greenways like Freedom Park or Little Sugar Creek.
