Maid of Honor
Suzanne and Megan’s paths crossed in Mr. Wing’s 7th Grade Social Studies classroom after Suzanne moved from Pine Island to Winona. Megan then excitedly greeted Suzanne in the middle school Sunday School class at CUMC in Winona and Suzanne still didn’t know who Megan was at this point so she was scared. She got over her fear and they have been friends ever since!
Best Woman
Steph came into Kevin and Megan's lives when Steph's wife, Jess, started working on our unit as a travel nurse. We all became fast friends and have traveled to visit them in Louisiana, Arizona, and Utah. Steph is level-headed, kind, and generous with her time and energy. She is also a huge Caniac. She has an impeccable taste in fashion and Kevin enjoys replicating that fashion.
Father of the Bride
Tim was an economics major in college and suffered. He's a people person, and fortunately righted himself in grad school to become a school counselor. He is a Beatles super fan and author, an avid gardener, an 11-time marathoner, and a pie and ice cream lover. He was also inducted into the Norwood High School Hall of Fame and even was a member of the Projectionists Club! Megan got her empathy genes from her dad.
Mother of the Bride
Susan is very retired from her days as a college communication studies professor and not-so-retired from her side hustles with the Higher Learning Commission and the Palmer College of Chiropractic Board of Trustees. She goes for walks every day at a brisk pace and usually can be found with a pocketful of dog treats to pass out to the neighborhood pooches. She is a 10-time marathoner and is a whiz on Microsoft PowerPoint. Megan got her public speaking genes from her mom.
Father of the Groom
Tim is the guy you want teaching your junior varsity son how to play soccer. Many years ago he was also Kevin's coach! He put those years of footwork to good use after discovering a love for ballroom dancing with wife Melissa. Tim is an avid gardener, handyman, hunter, and fisherman. He also makes a mean blueberry pancake.
Mother of the Groom
You can find Barbara and her two dogs, Zelda and Lulu, almost every day on the River Link Greenway in Cramerton, North Carolina. She loves landscaping and crafting, spending free time in the yard or giving old furniture or decorations new life. Kevin gets his love of reading from her. A shared Kindle account lets Barbara vet Kevin's future reading obsessions.
Officiant
Kim was Megan’s nanny when she was just a wee lass. Mom and Dad were professor-ing and needed a responsible adult to help watch over her. She is an actress and an author and Megan has seen her perform in three different theaters in Winona, Saint Paul, and New York City! She also moonlights as a wedding officiant and will be exploited for those talents on October 18th. If you ever have the opportunity to see Kim perform in The Root Beer Lady or a revival performance of No Place Called Home, I highly recommend both!!
