Things To Do and Foods to Eat

Museum of Life and Science

433 West Murray Avenue, Durham, NC 27704

Yes, we are also getting married here, but there won't be a lot of free time for exploring before or after the ceremony (and this place is BIG), so we recommend a separate trip to enjoy all the exhibits the museum has to offer!

A popular 22+ mile recreational rail-trail spanning Durham, Chatham, and Wake counties in North Carolina that used to transport tobacco leaf into downtown Durham. Megan once ran the whole thing end to end! A short walk from the Fairfield Southpoint Hotel on Renaissance Parkway, a couple other popular starting spots include Herndon Park and New Hope Church Road.

Centered on East Main Street, it grew into a major textile, packaging, and plastics manufacturer before closing in 1994. It is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is home to Hi-Wire Brewery, Cugino Forno Pizza, and Two Roosters Ice Cream.
