Boat Information
The ceremony and reception will take place on Great Diamond Island, just a short boat ride across Casco Bay from Spring Point Marina. If you have any trouble with transportation on the way there please call our dear friend and transportation director, Alie (703)431-6114 We have arranged for boats to shuttle guests out from Spring Point Marina in South Portland. Free overnight parking is provided at Spring Point Marina. The wedding parking will be located on the left just after entering the marina parking lot - look for the sign. We have split the group into boarding groups in the interest of not overloading boats while also not having guest wait on the dock for boats to arrive. Please visit the link to the PDF indicating what boat boarding group you are in by clicking the "VIEW" button below. Boat Group 1 leaves the dock at: 2:10 Boat Group 2 leaves the dock at: 2:40 Boat Group 3 leaves the dock in the morning and is for the wedding party and family staying out on the island. Matt and Alice will be in touch with this boat group to decide on departure time. Please arrive on time—boats are on a tight schedule and will depart promptly. We don’t want to leave anyone behind! In the event you do find yourself on the dock after the boats have left, call Alie (703)431-6114 Water taxis are available, but this is a busy day in Casco Bay and they will not be reliable to get there on time. On the day of the ceremony, the reception will wrap up at 9pm. We have chartered boats to bring guests to Portland Old Port or back to Spring Point Marina at no charge to you. If you chose to depart before 9pm please make a reservation with Fogg's water taxi back to South Portland or plan to take the ferry back to Portland. The ferry departs great diamond island at 8:05 pm. The ferry only goes back to Portland old port. It does not go to Spring Point Marina. If you are looking to go back to Spring Point Marina, a water taxi will bring you there.
