Can you tell us about your venue?
Answer
Lizton Lodge is cozily tucked away in rural Hendricks County. It was formerly an elaborate private residence, but is now used for weddings and other special events. We fell in love with it as soon as we pulled into the driveway and we hope you'll love it too! Take a sneak peak at www.liztonlodge.com.

What is the timeline of the day?
Answer
This is subject to change as we get closer, but the current planned timeline is: Ceremony: 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm Cocktail hour: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm Reception: 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm Our venue does have a hard stop at 10:00 pm due to a music curfew.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
Many of our guests will receive plus ones or invitations for their whole family. We plan on making it clear on our formal invitations and RSVPs how many spots we've reserved for you. If there are any questions, please feel free to ask us! We promise not to make it awkward.

Can I bring children?
Answer
Absolutely! This wedding is also the creation of a family, so we're inviting children as well! We will have childcare available in an adjoining room for both the ceremony and reception, if you need to take a break from parenting for a short while.

Will there be alcohol?
Answer
Yes, we do plan on having a full open bar. Please be prepared to show your ID at the bar, as there will be children around as well.

Is the venue handicapped accessible?
Answer
Yes! All public areas are wheelchair accessible. There are a few parking spots right next to the Lodge that are specifically reserved for handicapped parking. Please reach out if you will need handicapped parking. We'll make sure one of those spots is reserved for you. If we run out of handicapped parking, the venue manager can also shuttle you from the main parking lot in a golf cart.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?
Answer
We will have a shuttle bus making runs between the venue and hotel. Lizton Lodge is very rural, so Ubers/Lyfts are few and far between. If you plan on drinking at the reception, we highly recommend that you take the shuttle instead. In fact, if you'd like to park your car at the hotel and take the shuttle, you will likely have better luck catching an Uber from Whitestown than Lizton.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
We're hoping to treasure our wedding photos for decades to come, so we'd appreciate if you dressed in "Dressy Casual" or semi-formal attire.
