La Aurora International Airport (GUA)
Please fly into La Aurora International Airport (GUA). The airport is approximately 2.5 hours from the lake, so it is important to book a bus/shuttle service with your hotel or a highly rated independent travel service. We do not recommend renting a car in Guatemala. The main town on the Lake Atitlan is called Panajachel, and this is where the shuttles will either drop you off at your hotel, or at the dock if you are staying at one of the hotels without road access. You will need to have your hotel or vacation rental company arrange boat transport from the dock in Panajachel to your hotel. Hotels/Rentals understand that all travelers will need transport, so please make sure to utilize their shuttle services.

You can almost always arrange shuttle transport with your hotel or vacation rental, but if they don't offer transport then Transport Guatemala is a recommended shuttle company for private and public shuttles everywhere in Guatemala. Please feel free to use them when booking your travel.

Antigua, Guatemala
Please make sure to stop by Antigua if you have time on your trip. It is a 500 year old colonial city in between the Guatemala City airport and Lake Atitlan. it has ruins to explore on every block, and the restaurants and bars are a must. Tzanjuyú Dock
Tzanjuyú Dock is where you can catch either a public or private boat when you arrive at the lake. The dock is located in the town of Panajachel at the end of the street "Calle Del Embarcadero". You can also use the dock at Hotel Atitlan if you are staying there or have lunch in their pretty restaurant.

Vacation Rentals
There are many vacation rentals around Santa Cruz La Laguna and all of Lake Atitlan. If you would like any recommendations please check out the link provided. If you choose to not stay in Santa Cruz La Laguna or one of the recommended hotels, then you will be responsible for your own boat transfer to and from the venue on the day of the wedding. Please make sure you arrange with your Vacation Rental Company or Vacation Rental Manager before you leave for your trip. If you do choose to stay in a vacation rental, please make sure to have your driver stop by the Supermarket in Panajachel before taking the boat to Santa Cruz.

This hotel is within walking distance to the venue and does not have road access. It has beautiful Boho-Chic decor and is often home to yoga retreats. There is a cafe and bar on site. Hotel Atitlan is a beautiful lakefront accommodation about a 10 minute boat ride from the venue. There is road access to this location so a shuttle service can take you directly to the hotel without a boat ride.
