Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO)

There are multiple airports you can fly into, but this is the airport we recommend most as it is the most accessible and only a 45 minute drive from the airport to the north shore of Lake Tahoe.

Sacramento International Airport (SMF)

Sacramento is the next closest international airport being about a two hour drive to the north shores of Tahoe. Madison believes even though the drive is longer, the drive is prettier weaving and winding through Donner Pass.

If you are in the site-seeing or tourist-y mood, you can also fly into San Francisco (SFO), Oakland (OAK), or San Jose (SJC) and enjoy what the Bay Area has to offer like the Bay Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, and other exciting experiences before making the four hour road trip to Tahoe.
