We matched on Hinge and, in true “go big or go home” fashion, Dave chose a shabu-shabu restaurant for our first date. We ate and drank way too much, laughed even more, and left knowing this was the start of something special. Since that evening in February 2021, we’ve shared countless adventures — from traveling to dozens of new places to cozy days doing absolutely nothing together (and loving every second). Somewhere along the way, we became inseparable — and so did our sweet chihuahua mix, Kona, who quickly promoted himself to center of our little family. On a trip to Kristin’s hometown of Charlottesville, VA in July 2025, David had a surprise in store. With the help of Kristin’s best friend, Ariel, he popped the question in a moment filled with love, happy tears, and pure shock. Kristin said “yes” without hesitation, making it official: we were on our way to forever. We are so excited to join our families, celebrate with our loved ones, and start this next chapter as husband and wife. January 3, 2026, can’t come soon enough — and we can’t wait to share the day (and the dance floor) with all of you.
