Saturday in Vail Village
We recommend spending Saturday exploring Vail Village, a charming, European-style pedestrian village at the base of the mountains. Wander the walkways, browse boutique shops, and enjoy a relaxed lunch or drink with beautiful alpine views. The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens are located right in the village and offer a peaceful stroll through native mountain flowers, and the Vail Gondola provides an easy, scenic ride for sweeping views from above. Getting there is simple and stress-free. Parking is available in the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures, and the Town of Vail’s free in-town bus system runs frequently throughout the day. Guests staying in Beaver Creek can also take the Eagle County Regional Transit (ECO Transit) bus from Beaver Creek Village to the Vail Transportation Center in about 20–30 minutes, followed by a short walk or free in-town bus ride into Vail Village. Once you arrive, everything is walkable, making it an easy and enjoyable way to spend the day.

A Bit More Adventurous: Booth Falls Trail ~3.7 miles round trip • 2–3 hours Classic Colorado hike to a scenic waterfall.
Golf at Beaver Creek Golf Club
For guests looking to get a round in during the weekend, the Beaver Creek Golf Club is a standout option. Set in the valley below the village, the course offers beautiful mountain views, pristine fairways, and a relaxed alpine atmosphere. Saturday is the best day to play, making it easy to enjoy a daytime round while keeping the evening open for wedding festivities. Tee times can be made 30 days in advance by requesting one through the travel agent, Chelsea, or by booking directly on the course website below. To make travel easier, Chelsea can also help coordinate shipping golf clubs ahead of your trip via Ship Sticks, or assist with planning to travel with your clubs on your airline.
Epic Discovery at Vail
Epic Discovery at Vail is an outdoor adventure center located at the top of Vail Mountain, offering a variety of activities for all ages. It’s a great option for guests looking to add some daytime adventure to their mountain stay. Location & Access Epic Discovery is located at Eagle’s Nest and is accessed via the Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead. The gondola ride itself is a highlight, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Activities Epic Discovery offers a wide range of family-friendly and adventure-focused activities, including the Forest Flyer Alpine Coaster, zipline courses (including options for younger guests), aerial adventure and ropes courses, tubing hills, a climbing wall, and the Nature Discovery Center, where guests can learn about local wildlife and enjoy guided nature experiences. Access to Epic Discovery activities requires a lift ticket, which can be purchased in advance or on-site.
