Lake Norman is a beautiful man-made lake located north of Uptown Charlotte. If you have time, you could rent a kayak/paddle board or check out one of the free parks located along the lake.
Uptown Charlotte (aka downtown) is a large city with nice restaurants, bars, and museums. If you make it uptown, you have to checkout one of the many rooftop bars in Charlotte. They're all truly amazing. We recommend Farenheit, Nuvole Rooftop TwentyTwo, or Merchant and Trade for the best rooftop views.
Noda is our favorite neighborhood located a few miles northeast of uptown. It's a hip neighborhood with a lot of art, music and cute little shops. If you make it to Noda, we highly recommend visiting the Smelly Cat Coffee & Roastery House for coffee and a breakfast burrito or Noda Brewing for a beer.
South End Charlotte is the neighborhood located south of uptown and is known for breweries, restaurants, and nightlife. Some of our favorite breweries are located in South End and include Sycamore brewing, Wooden Robot, and Lenny Boy Brewing. When you visit, you can walk along the rail trail which connects all of South End and is full of restaurants and shops.
