National Park Canoe & Kayak Rental
We love paddle boarding!! Mount Desert Island is a wonderful place for paddle sports...National Park Canoe and Kayak Rental has a variety of kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddleboards for use on Long Pond. No experience is necessary! However, even if you are a well seasoned kayaker, there is a lot of water to play on and beautiful lakeshores to explore. Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse
One of the most iconic sights on Mount Desert Island, Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse is perched on the rocks just above the ocean. There's a short trail down to the water (involves climbing stairs) where you can get a beautiful view of the lighthouse and the rocky coastline. It gets crowded in summer and has limited parking, so it's best to arrive early.

Bar Harbor is well known and history port town located in Northern Maine will plenty of bars, places to eat, and hotels.
