When should I get my travel and accomodation arrangements made?

Now! As we mentioned elsewhere on the site, Mount Desert Island is a very popular tourist destination during the summer. People often fall in love with Acadia and want to return year after year...they sometimes book the same accommodations a year in advance. There are a large number and variety of accommodations, but you'll have the best chance of booking your choice if you do it early!

I have a new pair of 9 inch stiletto heels...this is the perfect time to wear them, right?

Answer

Nooooo....the only solid floor you will be walking on is in the restaurant! There are paved walkways through the park, but the ceremony will be on unsteady ground. We are also hoping to have lawn games...so wear comfortable shoes! We want you to feel comfortable and having fun!

Why did you choose Acadia for your venue?

Answer

It’s just felt right. Their are beautiful places in Arizona and Massachusetts. We wanted a destination wedding, but we also wanted as many of out family and close friends to join us. So this was the best of both worlds.
