Casual attire. Bring a sweater... Maine can be chilly at night!

On Saturday night, everyone is invited to join us at our Mount Desert Island rental home for s'mores and good cheer! We love camping, s’mores, the starry night sky, and the sound of the forest. All things we would love to share with our family and friends to welcome in our Big Weekend in Acadia National Park.

The Day After

3:00 am

The great outdoors

hiking/athletic wear

The day after we are keeping our rental and will be exploring the national park. We welcome any and everyone to join us if your available. We plan on starting the day with a hike up Cadillac Mountain to catch the sunrise. Possibly a whale watching boat ride in the afternoon. We also might venture into Downtown Bar Harbor in the evening.

Ceremony

11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Little Hunters Beach
Mount Desert, ME 04660

Light colors please. Casual dressy. suits, dress pants, shirt and tie, khakis, sun dresses, maxi dresses. You may want to bring a jacket or sweater, it’s by the coast so it may get chilly! Also, ladies, consider a change of shoes. We recommend against heels because the ground is uneven.

The national park has a $30 entrance fee per vehicle and parking is limited we recommend car pooling and can meet at our house rental before hand. Acadia is one of the most visual stunning national parks in the country, we are going to take a short hike to a scenic overlook to have a simple and laid back ceremony.

Lunch

12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Jordan Pond House Restaurant
2928 Park Loop Road, Mount Desert, ME 04675

We will be having a lunch at the historic Jordan Pond House that has been serving popovers and tea since the 1890s immediately following the ceremony. After lunch we will be going back to our rental house for cake!
