Travel Note
The location of the wedding is called Cañon Plaza, New Mexico. It is a special place to the bride as it's a small town founded by some members of her family many generations ago. It is a town that does not have cell service and is remote. For those reasons we suggest flying into Albuquerque, New Mexico and renting a car to drive the 2.5 hours to Cañon Plaza. You can also fly into Santa Fe, which is 1.5 hours from Cañon Plaza. This will also be a smaller airport and might be more expensive.
Travel Note
As far as where to stay we didn't want to block anything off because we didn't know what everyone would feel comfortable with, so, here's a guide of places around the area. Albuquerque, New Mexico would have the most options, but it is farther away. Santa Fe, New Mexico would be 1.5 hours away, but will be more expensive. Taos, New Mexico is very well known for its skiing/snowboarding. They will definitely have places to stay, but will be about 2 hours away. Española, New Mexico would be closer, but not the safest area to stay, it's about 1 hour away. Ojo Caliente, New Mexico is 30 minutes away, but doesn't have many places to stay and might be expensive. There is also not much to do there or many places to eat. And only 1 place to buy things from. If you'd like to stay somewhere more remote and be very close to the wedding venue, you are more than welcome to camp or bring an RV to Cañon Plaza itself and stay on the bride's family's property or some camping sites nearby.
