Playa Carrizalillo
Carizallilo is the best swimming beach in Puerto, there are a lot of stairs to get down and back out though! It is also a great place to rent a surfboard on the beach and take it out - this is the most beginner friendly surf spot in Puerto Escondido.
La Punta Zicatela
La Punta beach, a great place to chill and watch the sunset - there are a lot of beachfront bars and a bustling neighborhood with more bars and restaurants.
Mirador Las Tortugas
A short walk down a steep trail to a beautiful viewpoint of the ocean - another great spot for sunset! Please be aware that the trail is a bit difficult so watch your footing.
Swim with bioluminescent plankton in Manialtepec Lagoon
It's about a half an hour north of Puerto Escondido, and something we recommend to do after or before wedding dates because it is a night tour!
