Come see where the magic started! Without this place, there would be no Hannah and Ryan. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and boasts beautiful views of Casco Bay. Not feeling hungry? Enjoy a cocktail on the porch at sunset, or a bonfire with s'mores when the stars come out. The inn is the perfect place to relax before or after the wedding. Lunch and Dinner reservations are highly recommended!
This is probably one of the most unique golf courses you'll ever play on. This 9-hole course sits down the hill from the Inn. They offer limited cart rentals, however, you'll be happy to stroll the rolling hills boasting views of Casco Bay from every tee. The seventh hole even has you hitting your ball over the cove! The Chebeague golf season tends to wind down this time of year so be sure to check in with the Inn on updated hours of operation and to help you set up a tee time. Don't want to lug your clubs? Rentals are available through the clubhouse.
In need of a beer run? Running low on snacks? Be sure to stop by Doughty's Island Market, a staple of Chebeague Island. While options are somewhat limited, the beer coolers are always stocked and if you show up early, you may be lucky enough to snag one of Julie Doughty's Italians, one of the island's best-kept secrets.
Deer Point is a short (1.5 mile) out and back trail on the west end of the island. The trail brings you through the forest and out onto the rocky shore. If the timing is right, you are able to watch as the Casco Bay Lines ferry passes between Chebeague and Long Island. Deer Point holds a very special place in our hearts. It was there that we got engaged!
It's not a trip to Maine without a trip to L.L. Bean. Just 20 minutes north of the CTC Ferry dock in Yarmouth brings you to the many outlets and shops of downtown Freeport. Be sure to snap a pic in front of the infamous Bean boot.
Evo Kitchen + Bar is one of Hannah and Ryan's favorite spots. It is the sister restaurant to the Chebeague Island Inn. Located in Portland's Old Port district, Evo is just a short walk from the Casco Bay Lines ferry. Known for tapas-style plates featuring locally sourced ingredients. Evo is able to accommodate most allergies. Limited seating is available and reservations are always encouraged.
Tomaso’s is always our first stop in Portland. We love a good dive bar so don’t expect the bells and whistles. However, they feature many local brews and addictive bar food. Be sure to stop in if you’re in Portland.
