Boulder Mountain Lodge is 4-4.5 hours from Salt Lake City, or about 3-3.5 hours from Provo. About half of the drive is going south on I-15.
All wedding events listed on the Schedule page will be held on the grounds of Boulder Mountain Lodge, which is on the same property as Hell's Backbone Grill and Farm. The ceremony will be held in a grassy area next to a pond/bird sanctuary. The rest of the evening (cocktails/mocktails, dinner, dancing) will take place in the large field near the stage and fire pit.
Boulder, Utah, is very near the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, a vast and rugged national monument covering about 1.9 million acres in Southern Utah. Cell phone reception is available in most parts of Boulder, including the wedding venue and nearby restaurants and shops, but may be spotty. If you are camping, however, expect to have no cell reception. Toilets are also a bit iffy depending on where you are — of course, normal toilets are available at the venue and nearby restaurants and shops. But most campsites only have pit toilets. But, being so remote, Boulder and nearby Escalante offer amazing stargazing and time in nature.
You can definitely come to just the wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday, June 6. But we hope you'll consider joining us on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In that extra time, you can hang out with us and explore the beautiful surroundings, whether you'd like to hike, camp, or stay cozy at the lodge. It's truly a gorgeous area.
