We met the new old fashioned way -- on a dating app! We matched in November 2017 and had our first date a week later right before Thanksgiving. It was an okay date. We split the bill. When Chow asked me out again, I agreed because I was pretty sure he'd pay for dinner this time (he did). I invited him to come along with me after dinner to my best friend Olivia's cousin's boyfriend's punk show that night in East Atlanta Village. He came, and we had so much fun together! We haven't stopped having fun together since.
Planning an engagement is difficult even in the best of times, but even harder when we spent 24 hours a day with each other in our apartment. A window of opportunity arose when Hannah's bff Olivia was coming to visit I knew this would be my chance. Thanks to her, Cristi, Lindsay, and Jessica we were able to plan and set up a proposal without Hannah knowing and thank you to the many other friends who joined us in the park that day. I just needed a plan to get Hannah to the park and hopefully make sure she would go relatively dressed up. And so, on a warm afternoon in May, I told Hannah we were going to my friend Josh's going-away party.
