Grand Rapids’ main airport is Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR), located about 20 minutes from our hotel blocks and from our home. Uber/Lyft and rental cars are available from the airport. If flights into GRR are limited or expensive, guests may also consider flying into Chicago (ORD/MDW) or Detroit (DTW) and driving to Grand Rapids. We recommend booking travel early, as June is a busy season.

Amtrak: Chicago ⇄ Grand Rapids There are two train options each day between Chicago Union Station (CHI) and Grand Rapids (GRR): CHI → GRR • 6:45 AM — includes a stop in Kalamazoo, MI (6h 45m total) • 6:30 PM — direct train (4h total) GRR → CHI • 6:00 AM — direct train (4h total) • 2:55 PM — includes a stop in Kalamazoo, MI (8h 45m total) Once you arrive at the train station in Grand Rapids, it's a quick Uber/Lyft ride to all hotel blocks. Tip: Tickets are usually cheaper if booked early.
