Things To Do

Our Favorite Spots

Butcher's Union

438 Bridge Street Northwest, Grand Rapids, MI 49504
, +1 (616) 551-1323

One of our favorite spots for a great steak and even better atmosphere. Make sure to book a reservation in advance, as wait times can get pretty long! The Pro-Tip: Try our favorite "off-menu" order: get the steak of your choice, but ask for the sides and complements of the Wagyu Sirloin from Snake River. The Drinks: Hanna’s favorite is the Amelia, and Paulos always goes for the Bridge Street Old Fashioned.

Gin Gin's

345 Summer Avenue Northwest, Grand Rapids, MI 49504

If you want to see where we took our engagement photos, feel free to stop by Gin Gin’s! It’s right next to Butcher’s Union and has such a cool, mid-century vibe. While they have a full menu, we love coming here for cocktails and appetizers while we wait for a table next door.

Blue Bridge, Downtown GR

Blue Bridge, Grand Rapids, MI

Take a stroll across the most iconic bridge in Grand Rapids. This spot is forever special to us—it’s where Paulos popped the question! It offers the best view of the river and the city skyline.

Love's Ice Cream & Chocolate

435 Ionia Avenue Southwest, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

Located inside the Downtown Market. They have a rotating list of flavors and plenty of dairy-free options. It's a local favorite and makes for a great treat. Grab a scoop and explore the different stalls in the market.

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

1000 East Beltline Avenue Northeast, Grand Rapids, MI 49525

A world-class botanic garden and sculpture park. If you have a few hours to spare on a sunny afternoon, we highly recommend a visit. Since you're visiting in June, the outdoor gardens will be in full bloom!
