"The most important relationship in your life is the one that you have with yourself; because no matter what happens you will always be with yourself". - Diane Von Furstenberg Yet, we need best friends because they laugh at the same stupid things that we do. They give us advice. They celebrate with us at our best, but still love us at our worst. They help you to overcome tough times and will be there for us, even if they're thousands of miles away. "What is important, most and always are the people around us". - Thomas S Monsson "The best things in life are free. It is important never to lose sight of that. So look around you. Wherever you see friendship, loyalty, laughter and love...there is your treasure". - Neale Donald Walsch "As we grow up, we realize it is less important to have lots of friends and more important to have real ones". - Amanda McRae Meet our FAMILY AND FRIENDS who are walking down the aisle with us.

N. NICOLE JAMES "Nikki"

Bride

Friends are essential and important. I've always been able to make friends. Yet, its not easy building lasting friendships. Helen Keller said, "I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light." I have some amazing friends who have walked with me during some of my most difficult and challenging times. They all have been in my corner, have my back and been there for me when I needed them most. Heather, Andrea, Brittany-Leigh, Tonia & Sheila have agreed to stand with me as I marry the love of my life. Ladies, I LOVE you and I'm very blessed to have your friendship. Although I may not be the most important person in your life; I just hope that when you hear my name you will always smile and say...that's my friend.

HENRY G. DAVIS, JR. "Hank"

Groom

One of the many things that I have learned in life is that relationships are the most precious treasures that anyone could have. I've learn that as you travel through this life’s journey, the more relationships you establish, the more you continue to grow and evolve. I've come to understand that Love Has Got EVERYTHING To Do With It!! The gentlemen that will stand with me as I take Nicole as my bride, exemplifies my life’s journey through relationships. These gentlemen capture this part of our journey at this time, and I am so honored to have them be apart of our day.

Andrea Sheree' Franklin

Matron of Honor

Andrea is a wife, mother of 3 and a Regional Property Director. NICOLE SAYS: "Best Friends are people who make your problems their problems, just so you don't have to go through it alone. Andrea is the epitome of this. There are friendships imprinted in our hearts that will never be diminished by time, distance or anything. Andrea is imprinted in my heart. She's my chief Intercessor and Prayer Partner, kind, sweet, loving, forgiving, incredibly generous and fiercely dedicated to her friends. When I first met Andrea, I told her that she needed to get some new friends. I had no idea that I would become one of them and we would forge a bond that has lasted through thick and thin; thin and thick".

Heather Eileen Walker-Coleman

Matron of Honor

Heather is a wife, mother of 4, grandmother and Registered Nurse who resides in Texas. NICOLE SAYS:l "Heather and I have been friends since the 90's when we used to stomp in Detroit. I remember we would hang out together until the sun would catch us riding home on I-94. We dedicated our lives to Christ and got baptized together. As years passed, she remains, my "Ride or fly, I ain't tellin' a lie", friend who is kind and loving. She always has my back and is pretty protective when it comes to me so watch it. Don't mess with her or me because "Baby, she is FIRE in more ways than one. Yet, she's super sweet. Sweet as sweet potato pie, and so is our friendship. I think that's why we call each other "Sugah", & "Sugah, Sugah".

Brittany-Leigh Powell

Matron of Honor

Brittany-Leigh works as a Real Estate Agent. She is a wife and mother. NICOLE SAYS: "I am so grateful that we call each other friends. Brittany-Leigh has championed the love and success of my relationship with Hank for many years. We've grown close since the day we met at a clothing store. Later, she became a client and also a friend. I'm thankful that Brittany-Leigh's heart wasn't closed love and relationships. She helped me embrace being more forgiving and a life with Hank because my heart was still healing when we met. Who would have thought that a retail shopping trip would birth a beautiful friendship".

Sheila Renee Rhodes

Maid of Honor and Vocalist

"I am honored to participate in and elated to witness the union of my 2 friends. I first met Hank over 20 years ago at karaoke. Someone suggested we do a duet and Hank says I was less than thrilled, but did it anyway. Our voices blended very well together and he has been a good friend and singing buddy ever since. He and I shared many laughs and good times over the years. We have been in a couple of bands together and still enjoy our good times and laughter at karaoke. Nikki and I met at karaoke too about 12 years ago. It was one of the first times she, Hank and I spent time together. We became fast friends and she soon became hooked on karaoke. We spent many hours laughing and talking while she styled my hair, went shopping or shared a meal. I wish continued blessings for my two friends".

Sheila Renee Rhodes (cont'd)

Maid of Honor

NICOLE SAYS: "Sheila and Hank have been friends for over 20 years. They met at Banfield's in Ann Arbor while singing karaoke. Sheila and I met through Hank in 2009 and she showed me the utmost respect when Hank and I started dating. Since then Sheila and I have bonded and formed our own special friendship. She is now one of my most dear friends and another big sister. Sheila is sweet as sweet potato pie, kind, gentle and soft spoken. She always gives me gentle truth, sound advice; and she is respectful of my feelings, opinions and views, even if we disagree. I can always count on Sheila to listen, be there in a pinch, when the chips are down and for any shopping or "Road trip"!

Tonia C. Williams

Maid of Honor

Tonia works as a Property Manager. She is a mother of 5 children with 14 grandchildren and a few on the way. NICOLE SAYS: "Tonia, adopted me as her little sister and she is my big sister. If you're in her circle, you will experience a unique relationship. Only a few chosen people get to see how kind, very generous and loving this woman really is. Most won't have the privilege of being close to her and if you are; that means she really loves you. She is wise, reserved, modest and walks with a mindset that commands attention. Tonia is responsible for me being able to connect with Hank on a more mature level when he and I met" because she forced me to grow up in ways that I didn't want to. She gives me honest truth which has matured me into the woman that I am today.
