We understand not everyone will be able to make the trip to St. Thomas. For this reason, we will also be having a larger celebration with an extended group in Pittsburgh on June 1, 2024. More details to come down the road. You are welcome to attend one of the two or both! Note that this website currently provides information for our wedding weekend in St. Thomas only.
On a warm summer's evening, on a train bound for nowhere- wait, sorry, wrong story. Like so many people in our generation we met at work. Before you ask, yes, we are in the same generation, check the numbers. Technically we met in a bar, at a work conference in Boston, through mutual friends- so really our story can begin however you like it to. Though we met in the bar in Boston, we really didn't speak to each other until I (Dan) attended sales training in Kalamazoo where Hannah was one of the course instructors. A brief introduction in the office and then back to our lives in Pittsburgh and Kalamazoo respectively. We became work friends as our jobs intersected from time to time. My sales role at Stryker often required expert assistance from our marketing team where Hannah was a shining star. Hence the beginning of what was a natural work friendship that developed over a few years. A memorable interaction occurred in that time, when Hannah came to town to present some of the latest Stryker technology to surgeons in Pittsburgh. I was tasked with showing her around town after the work stuff, which happened to include a Pirates game and a Travis Tritt concert. The defining moment of that night was when we discovered that Hannah’s small purse was in violation of the bag policy at the venue (Stage AE). Rather than skip the concert, Hannah pulled a few things out of the bag and casually hid it in some nearby bushes. Needless to say, I was impressed. Travis Tritt might say I knew I was in ‘T-R-O-U-B-L-E’. Several months later, as the world shut down with the pandemic, I was leaving Stryker for a new job and vacating my sales territory. Hannah was eager to get into sales and the universe brought our paths onto a collision course. I committed to helping whoever replaced me by introducing them to the people they’d be working with and decided to show Hannah around the city as well. The rest is history. Somewhere along the way, we realized we were in love, how our age difference was almost as surprising as our similar maturity, love for travel, concerts, and the outdoors. We quickly bonded with each others families and friends and are excited to start our lives together. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people. Thank you for loving us, we will see you soon, we love you too!
