We're Getting Married!

Lily relocated to Chesapeake, Virginia, in the summer of 2022, unaware that she would run into the love of her life there. Upon meeting, Kyle confidently recommended his favorite sushi restaurant, knowing Lily doesn't turn down good sushi. On their first date, she loves to joke that he was 5 minutes late, but she is certainly glad she waited. They enjoyed lunch at Yama Sushi in Chesapeake, which remains their favorite date night spot when they visit. The remainder of the day was spent watching movies, sharing stories, and cherishing each other's company, with both wishing the day would not end. They had such a great time that Kyle invited Lily to go fishing the very next day. She also jokes that she thought this was a "test" to see how outdoorsy she was, and yes she passed! After a year of dating, Kyle was transferred to Charlottesville, Virginia, upon graduating from the police academy. After a year of long distance, Lily moved in with him. They have since enjoyed the scenic mountain views and have explored the area extensively through hiking and outdoor activities on the western side of the state. While they appreciate their current surroundings, they do miss the beach and hope to return to the East Coast in the future. Both have diverse interests and have experienced significant personal and relational growth together. Their shared hobbies include travel, hiking, hunting, fishing, surfing, and eating good food! Kyle has introduced Lily to new outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and surfing. Conversely, Lily has broadened Kyle’s horizons by sharing her passion for travel, experiencing new cultures, trying diverse cuisines, and embracing adventurous endeavors. They are eager to embark on the next chapter of their lives together and are grateful to have your support at the outset of this journey.
