FAQs

Question

What are you guys doing about COVID-19, Omicron, Delta Mu Theta, etc ?

Answer

While we take the health of our friends and family seriously, the wedding is still happening and going as planned. It is simply too early to make any impulsive decisions. Please check back often for updates. Last updated October 2022.

Question

Are masks required on the beach? Will you be requiring masks at the wedding?

Answer

We are following the local guidelines and laws of Clearwater. As of October 2022, the beaches and hotels are open and do not have a mask mandate. However, it is highly encouraged to bring one for spaces that would be considered difficult to social distance (restaurants, public restrooms, elevators, etc). If you would like to stay up-to-date on COVID-19 related news in Clearwater, here's a link: https://www.visitstpeteclearwater.com/info/st-peteclearwater-travel-awareness We have opted to not require masks due to our ceremony being outside, in fresh air. However, seating arrangements will be distanced as best as possible.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

By September 16, 2022. Scan the QR code to start your RSVP, or mail the response card back.

Question

I don’t have a RSVP response card. How do I send in my RSVP?

Answer

RSVP response cards were sent to select individuals, who may prefer the traditional way of RSVPing. If you have lost your RSVP, please reach out to the bride. If you did not receive one, it’s okay. You’re reading this, so you’ve found our website. Scroll up to the menu. Click ‘RSVP’ on the menu bar and follow the prompts :) See you on the beach!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes. We have a hotel room block at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach. The bride is also currently working to see about securing another hotel block for those needing a room that’s budget-friendly. Please see the travel tab for more information.

Question

I want to stay at the hotel to be close to the festivities and take part in the shuttle, but I don't want to spend that much money. Any suggestions?

Answer

Thank you for being honest and upfront. Yes, we have solutions. We have listed them below: 1. Arrive the day before and depart the day after the hotel. (You would pay for 2 days.) 2. Arrive the day-of the wedding and depart the day after the wedding. (You would pay for 1 day.) PLEASE NOTE: Our reserved dates are December 16, 2022-December 18, 2022. The hotel has only secured those dates for the FIRST TEN (10) rooms booked. The hotel allows our guests to +/- three (3) days to their trip, with our group discount, should they have the availability. Again, the dates outside the weekend of December 16, 2022 through December 18, 2022, are subject to their availability. Please visit the travel tab to book your room. Payment will be due at check-in.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

If you have your own transportation, at least 30 minutes before the ceremony is to start. If you're riding on the shuttle, departure from the hotel is at 2:15pm. Please plan accordingly to ensure you have time to catch the elevator down to the lobby and board the shuttle. The drive to the ceremony location is short, but the walk is not.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes. Please make sure to include any food allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP, which is due by September 16, 2022.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. A shuttle will be provided on our wedding day for our guests. Please be sure to indicate that you will be riding the shuttle when you RSVP so that we have a proper headcount.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. However, we recommend riding the shuttle on the wedding day, or using a service like Uber or Lyft, if you opt to ride separately. Please keep in mind that Clearwater is small, therefore, free parking lots are limited. For better assistance with your parking questions, here's a link to parking options, an interactive parking map, rates and more: https://www.myclearwater.com/government/city-departments/engineering/parking-system

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes. We are registered on Zola. Please click the Registry tab for more information.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have changed venues and locations, so plus ones will be limited. Unless you have been given the O.K. by the groom or bride, or your invite states you may bring a guest, no.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While Auntie Keke and Uncle Nate love the kids, and would love to invite all the munchkins, we are asking that only the children invited attend the wedding. Otherwise, we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can unwind, relax & celebrate with us.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes. Please click the Weekend Events tab.

Question

Will this be a buffet or plated dinner?

Answer

This is a plated dinner that requires your selection. After the RSVP date has passed, changes can no longer be made so please be certain that the entree you choose is the one that you want. This is also the time to notate any dietary restrictions or allergies and if you plan to ride the shuttle. NOTE: If you RSVP Yes, but do not select your food choice, the restaurant will select for you.

Question

I’m bringing a gift. If you’re getting married on the beach, where will I put it?

Answer

First, let us say, thank you so much! We really appreciate the sentiment. Secondly, there are two options. The first is to drop it off at the Mother of the Bride’s room or two, bring your gift along with you to drop off at the beginning of dinner. There will be a small table for gifts.

Question

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Please don't do that. Most of the decor that will be present are rentals and, subsequently, we would be charged for it. We WILL pass that invoice along to the appropriate individual(s) in the event that we are notified of missing centerpieces, candleholders, florals, etc.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the ceremony on social media?

Answer

We love that you would like to capture every moment of the ceremony, because it will go by pretty quickly. However, we have paid a few coins to have our ceremony professionally photographed. So, all we're asking is that you refrain from blocking our photographer. We will have the officiant make an announcement. They will let our guests know when it's okay to take photos/videos. Don't forget to tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #Hamblin2022 so we can keep track of all of your pictures and look back on the day <3 Use the hashtag for all things #Hamblin2022!

Question

What does “NO TICKET, NO SKATES” mean and why do I keep seeing it?

Answer

Simply, and bluntly put, if you do not RSVP Yes by the due date, you will AUTOMATICALLY be put as a RSVP No. Now, for those that need a long winded answer, your attendance costs us money. (We are not complaining because we obviously want you there.) From the seat on the shuttle, to your seat at the ceremony, to your plate at dinner. We are sending out invitations ahead of time so that you may plan ahead and decide if you will be in attendance, or not. Your “ticket” is your RSVP. Your “skates” are your entry to the ceremony & the private dinner. So, NO TICKET, NO SKATES! RSVP Yes = Seat Reserved RSVP Not Received = No Seat Reserved RSVP No = No Seat Reserved If you've seen the movie ATL, you already know what I mean, if you haven't seen it: https://youtu.be/c1B1d0d66hg?t=10

Question

I have read the entire website, including all of the FAQs. I still have questions so who do I contact?

Answer

First, double-check that your question has not been answered on the website. If it indeed has not been answered, head to your nearest AUTHENTIC Mexican Taco spot and pickup chicken tacos with cilantro and onion, on corn tortillas. Make sure to ask for salsa verde and lime wedges. Then, find the bride and present these to her before asking your question. She will be your best friend!
