Haly and Cristian’s love story began in January 2019 in Italy when they both packed their bags and moved to the picturesque city of Florence to work for a student travel company. On the first day they arrived in Florence, Haly and Cristian met and instantly connected. In the first few weeks, as they worked side by side and lived just one floor apart, their friendship and connection blossomed. Cristian, feeling the strong spark between them, asked Haly on their first date to a quaint little ice cream shop. Over scoops of gelato, they laughed, talked for hours, and wandered through the cobblestone streets of Florence. Haly and Cristian spent 2019 building a beautiful relationship in one of the most romantic cities in the world. Together they travelled to Croatia, Germany, Slovenia, Portugal, Italy and more and their love for each other continued to flourish. At the start of 2020, Haly moved back to Philadelphia and Cristian moved back to London with plans to rejoin shortly. When COVID-19 hit the world in March 2020, Haly and Cristian were not able to see each other for over 6 months. Even with an ocean between them, their love never wavered. They made long-distance work, with daily phone calls, weekly Zoom dinner dates and sweet love letters sent abroad. In the Summer of 2020, Haly finally was able to visit Cristian in London to meet his family and friends. That visit only strengthened what they already knew—they were meant to be together. So in January 2021, Haly made the big move to London, where she pursued her Master’s degree and rejoined Cristian. Haly and Cristian have built a beautiful life together in London, where they continue to grow as partners. Since moving to London, Haly has become incredibly close with Cristian's friends and family, forming deep bonds that feel like home across the pond. Haly and Cristian frequently travel to the US to visit Haly's friends and family. Over time, Cristian has become incredibly close with Haly's loved ones, and their trips are filled with warmth, laughter, and a shared sense of belonging that extends across both continents. It was a full circle moment when Haly and Cristian visited Florence where their love story first began and Cristian proposed on November 4, 2023 overlooking the Florentine skyline. Haly and Cristian look forward to celebrating their love with the people closest to them on October 4, 2025, in the city that holds so many cherished memories.
