What's the dress code for guests?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in your best semi-formal or cocktail attire. The weather in Boone in August tends to be highs around 76° and lows around 58° :)

Can I bring a guest or date?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and feel free to reach out with any questions!

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children. Although we adore your children, we hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding children-free and take the opportunity to let your hair down and celebrate in style.

When do we need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 25th using the RSVP tab in the menu. If you do not RSVP in time, we will assume that you are unable to attend.

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for parking and finding your seat. If you find yourself running behind and miss the ceremony start, please join us after the ceremony ends for cocktail hour.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

Our venue has free on-site parking. We encourage guests who plan to drink to do so responsibly and to use Uber/Lyft from their accommodations.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures, which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like and don't forget to share them with us!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you—get ready to party!! For this reason, we encourage you to Uber/Lyft to and from the venue. Please make sure you have a way to get back to your accommodations safely.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be indoors, but there is an outdoor patio connected to the reception room where guests can enjoy a lit fire pit, some fresh air and the beautiful Boone views. If it rains, we will move everything inside!

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in Boone, Banner Elk, or Blowing Rock. There are several hotels at various price ranges in these areas due to this region being popular for tourists and its proximity to Appalachian State University. Please check to see how far your accommodations are from the venue so you can plan to be there 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony. If you are booking an AirBnB, VRBO, or other rental homes, please be mindful that the home may require guests to have a 4WD or AWD vehicle to access the property. Many of these mountain properties have steep driveways and roads leading up to them, so be aware of that when booking a place to stay!
