4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
For anyone arriving early, we’d love to kick off the weekend with a casual glass of bubbles and a quick hello. This will be an easy, come-and-go gathering before the wedding festivities begin. Stop by, say hi, and help us start the celebration New Orleans-style.
4:30 pm
Our ceremony will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Canal Street, and our reception will follow at Marché in the French Market. If you’d like to join us for the streetcar second line from the ceremony to the reception, we recommend taking an Uber to the church. For guests who plan to drive, we suggest parking near Marché before the ceremony, then taking an Uber to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. That way, your car will already be close to the reception at the end of the night. If you do not plan to join the streetcar second line, you are welcome to drive to the church and then make your way to Marché after the ceremony.
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Gentlemen, please wear a well-tailored suit. Ladies, gowns or formal dresses are preferred. We’d love for everyone to feel dressed up, polished, and ready to celebrate in New Orleans.
Our ceremony will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Canal Street in New Orleans. This church is especially meaningful to us because Halle went to school there, and funny enough, Luis also grew up attending a St. Anthony of Padua church in The Woodlands. It’s a small full-circle detail that makes the day feel even more special.
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Comfortable shoes are recommended for the second line. Feel free to bring a change of shoes for the walk, then switch back into your formal shoes for cocktail hour and the reception.
After the ceremony at St. Anthony of Padua on Canal Street, we’ll board the streetcar and ride down toward Decatur Street. From there, we’ll hop off and second line together to Marché with our second line band leading the way. The walk from Decatur Street to Marché is about 0.6 miles, and we’ll pass some classic New Orleans sights along the way, including Café du Monde and Jackson Square. Ladies, you may want to bring a pair of extra shoes if you plan to join the second line. Come ready for music, a little walking, and a very New Orleans start to the celebration!
7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Our reception will be held at Marché, located in New Orleans’ historic French Market. With views of the French Quarter and the Mississippi River, Marché has so much of what we love about the city: historic charm, beautiful scenery, incredible food, and that unmistakable New Orleans feeling.
11:00 pm
After the reception, we’re keeping the celebration going the only way New Orleans knows how: with beignets. Join us at Café du Monde after the wedding for a casual late-night treat, powdered sugar included. No formal plans, no pressure, just one more sweet stop before we call it a night.
