Get to experience reefs with abundant sea life while snorkeling, explore the mangroves, and a beach stop to explore a spectacular clear water and white sandy beach where you can swim and have a laid back time. You will be joining a crew that will make sure to take you to the best spots. The exact locations are chosen by the captain the day of the trip since we always take into consideration daily ocean conditions. Led by certified crew members that will point out different types of corals, fish, and share fun facts of what you observe.
The guided rides will take you on a loop trail through the hills, open meadows, woods, river bottoms and two special beaches in the Esperanza area; idyllic palm tree-lined Playa Coqual & remote Playa Negra. Sam and I went horseback riding when we visited Vieques and man was it fun! It is about a 2 hour long excursion and I suggest going in the morning 8-10 AM when it is not as hot. If you love horses, or have any interest in riding, I highly recommend doing this on your vacation!
Location: Town Esperanza, across from El Quenepo restaurant. Get to kayak through Puerto Mosquito (Mosquito Bay), the world's brightest bioluminescent bay, where you can explore eco- consciously. A night adventure where not only will you enjoy the glowing waters, but a sky full of stars, and the experience of kayaking at nighttime. We call this tour the perfect trifecta. Swimming is not allowed but be prepared to get wet. Focused in small groups of up to 10 people Led by certified crew members Pick up from Esperanza and back No kayaking experience needed Sam and I did this amazing kayak tour on our trip. Since Puerto Rico is known to have the most beautiful Bio Bay in the world, it is just one of those things you gotta do! The tour is about an hour long.
This tour would be great if you are not comfortable or feel like kayaking, but still want to see this amazing bio bay! The bioluminescence experience is truly an amazing phenomenon! Did you know that Vieques, Puerto Rico is one of the best places to spot bioluminescence in the ocean? Join us for an intimate, magical boat tour and experience this rare phenomenon! The boat tour is about an hour long
Let’s do yoga with Haley’s amazing wedding planner Collette. I did not get to do this my last visit so I will definitely be doing it this time around, maybe even the morning before the big day!
This beach is next door to Caracas, so if you are ambitious you could do both in one day!
Some of mine and Sam’s favorite places to grab a bite and walking distance for where most guest are staying right on the Malecon Boardwalk. You really can’t go wrong with what you choose. We really recommend trying as many places, going out of your comfort zone to try new foods, and do your research! Duffy’s Bar & Restaurant Lazy Jacks (Dive bar) Trade Winds Bar and Restaurant (has great Brunch) Kristys (Breakfast & Lunch) Bananas Bili (fancier, but delicious!) El Quenepo (fancier but delicious!) Robins (they make the best and HUGE mojitos, located right by where the wedding will be)
