We are excited to honor Vietnamese wedding traditions by visiting each table during our celebration. In lieu of wrapped gifts, we would be grateful for contributions toward our honeymoon and newlywed life. This way, we can carry your love and support with us as we begin our life together.
Chào Bàn, which means “greeting the tables.”
- Purpose: It’s the couple’s way of personally thanking each guest for attending and celebrating.
- How it works: Each table designates one person to speak on behalf of everyone. That person offers a toast, shares a blessing or words of encouragement.
- The gift: During this time, families may give envelopes (often containing money) as a way to wish prosperity, happiness, and good fortune to the couple.
