Matron of Honor
I don't even know where to begin with Jordan! Simply put, she is my person. She has stood faithfully by my side in this crazy life for the past 15 years and I could never, ever imagine life without her now. Her drive and ambition to be the very best version of herself every single day is my favorite thing about her. She knows me way better than I know myself, shares my love of raw cookie dough and trashy reality TV, and is the one who keeps me grounded always. I love ya forever, Jo!
Best Man
My dad, my friend, my person. What can I say? Well, for one, I don't think there is enough room. I'm not sure who is the parent and who is the child sometimes, but there has never been anyone who can make me laugh more. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful father. I just hope I can be half the father he is one day. Thankful for all that he's done for us. My dad is my everything -- hunting buddy, repairman, music companion, and best friend!
Bridesmaid
Kaitlin truly is the sister I never had, but always wanted! I still don't know how my brother got so lucky, but I'll be eternally grateful that he did. I look up to Kaitlin so much, for so many reasons. She is the best listener and always ready and willing to lend an ear for whatever reason, and I am always going to her for advice about literally any and everything -- and she never lets me down. Love you, Kait!
Best Man
Friends for life! It's not everyday you have two life long friends that were born on the same day and in the same hospital, but somehow that became our story. While we might not see each other every day or even once a month, there is no one I feel that I could truly count on more and I'm thankful that he's been there for me through the years. I'm so blessed to have such a great friend in Nathan. Better start writing your speech now!
Bridesmaid
My sweet Alli! Anyone that knows me knows just how important family is to me, and Brian comes with an amazing family -- especially his sweet sister Allison. She has the absolute biggest heart of anyone I've ever met and will drop whatever she's doing at any moment to help someone when they need it. I am so thankful for her and the relationship we have. She's also a total badass at everything she does and it's my favorite thing about her. Love you so much, Alli!
Groomsman
My freshman year at ECU was rough. I didn't get along well with my first roommate, so I was excited to start over in a new dorm with a new roommate my second year; then I ended up with Josh and my second, third, and fourth years were even worse. Just kidding! Endless nights of listening to music, exploring, watching sports, and wreaking havoc. It's okay Josh -- you'll never be as smart as me but you can try! Congrats on the PhD thing by the way.
Bridesmaid
Chessey Blair, my oldest friend and designated 'other half'. I would have never made it through middle or high school without this girl by my side every step of the way! Her loyalty and overall gratitude for life and what truly matters is awe-inspiring. We have been through so much together, and almost 17 years later (holy crap, we're old), we are still going strong. I love you, Chet!
Groomsman
I feel pretty blessed to have the friends that I have, each as good as the other. I was pretty content with all the friends that I had...and then I met Kevin (absolutely through Haley, but we won't give her credit). I feel like Kevin is me and I am Kevin. I don't think I could have more in common with a person, except the fact that I'm a lot better looking. As long as rock music is a genre of music and the Panthers are an NFL team, I believe Kevin and I will be buds for life!
Bridesmaid
Sara with no H -- this girl was the biggest blessing during my freshman year at UNC. None of my friends had also chosen to attend UNC, however, thanks to the E-Harmony of college roommate searching, I found this gem of a person and the rest is history. We may fail terribly at seeing each other regularly, but we always pick up right where we left off and I know that I can always count on her!
Groomsman
Like Kevin, sometimes you meet people in the weirdest ways! I never would have guessed I'd be best friends with the head manager of Walmart and Trump's head chef (maybe that was a little exaggerated, but it's not far off). Also met Daniel through Haley, but again, we won't give her credit. Poor Daniel got suckered into a Ghost concert with Kevin and I once and it's been on ever since. I am so grateful to have him as a friend. Glad to have someone that shares the same love for emo rock as I do. Let's party!
Bridesmaid
No one, and I mean no one, can make me laugh like Kelly does. It is impossible to ever be sad while around Kelly because she has this incredible zest for life and you just can't help but absorb it when around her! She has a true helper's heart and I admire her so much for that. She's truly been like a sister to me and I'm so thankful to have her stand by my side!
Groomsman
Poor Chris! I feel like there is always a person that you have to include just to hit the right numbers in the wedding party...and Chris is that person for me (sad thing is, he thinks he's my best friend). Just kidding! I am grateful for Chris and Stephen for letting me live with them for my bonus semester at ECU. Chris always puts a smile on my face and we have so many great stories (though most of them probably aren't appropriate for the public eye or ear). Never stop being yourself, Chris!
Bridesmaid
My and Taylor's story is one of my favorites. We met through softball when we were 9 and played on the same team for 4 years until our team disbanded. After that, we never really saw each other again until one fateful day on the bus at UNC-Chapel Hill some 7 years later. We reconnected, lived together for 2 years, and now I will never be able to fully express my gratitude for the Lord bringing her back in my life. I love you, my June bug!
Groomsman
You're my boy, Bloo! I am so grateful for the ECU paintball team. It's how I met Bloo, Zac, and so many other great life long friends. A big crew of thugs. Like all my friends, I feel that Bloo is someone that I can always count on, whether it was making sure I made it home safely from a party or just being there when I needed to talk to -- Bloo is always there. My travel partner, whether it was Florida or New Orleans for a bowl game or driving from ECU to Liberty at 3am for a paintball tournament. There is always another adventure around the corner with Bloo!
Bridesmaid
Oh, how far Ashley and I have come from the days of her older sister Kelly and I telling her that she was too young to play with us! It baffles me now that I would ever say Ashley was 'too young' for something. As I've watched her grow into the beautiful person that she is today, her maturity continues to amaze me. She is so wise beyond her years and I'm over the moon to have her stand by me!
Groomsman
I was lucky to find Adam and Michael in PA school, because I definitely needed a solid friend group during the most educational-ly difficult time in my life. I like to think that the world of medicine is lucky to have us. Adam and I both went into Family Medicine. Also Adam is the most beautiful singer I have ever heard... NOT!
Officiant
Firstly, I'll start by saying just how blessed Brian and I both feel to have Mrs. Kris officiating our wedding. She is very special to us and it means so much to have someone from our family (she is my SIL Kaitlin's mother!) be the one to guide us into this marriage. Mrs. Kris is a passionate and faithful servant of the Lord, and an even more passionate and faithful family member who loves with her whole heart!
Groomsman
Michael and I met when we sat next to each other at an open house for the ECU PA program; one year later, we both got into the GWU PA program and we became roommates. I've never met someone that knows so much useless information and if he doesn't know it, he will absolutely make it up and convince you that he knows it. Michael works in cardiology at Duke Hospital and thinks that makes him so fancy (but it doesn't).
Groomsman
Zac and I met at the end of freshman year/beginning of sophomore year at ECU, when we were both on the ECU paintball team. Zac is now an athletic training P.h.D super star at Syracuse University. I've never met a harder worker than Zac. I have stories about all my friends and I'm sure that they have just as much about me...but I have A LOT about Zac. Zac is the wedding party class clown, which is saying a lot with all these goons.
Groomsman
Brother in-law; seems so foreign and weird to say. However, I am so grateful to have Hunter as mine. I feel very blessed that Haley comes from such a great family that is so accepting and loving. He's also a soon-to-be father and Haley and I cannot wait to be aunt & uncle to baby Jack. I think Ronald and Jackie raised two wonderful people and I cannot wait to join the family!
Ring Bearer
Our sweet, sweet nephew Jack. He's just four months old now, but I can already envision him coming down the aisle between his parents on our wedding day! This little guy almost decided to share his birthday with Aunt Hales and Uncle B's wedding anniversary, but came on September 27th instead (he'll have quite the 1st birthday bash at our rehearsal dinner!). It's impossible to put into words how much we love this little angel and we promise to always be the best aunt and uncle you could ever wish for!
