Shuttles?

Answer

For those staying at Red Cliffs Lodge and in downtown Moab, we will have shuttles to and from our wedding. Shuttles will pick up at the following times: Red Cliffs Lodge: pick up at 2:30pm Hoodoo by Hilton: pick up at 2:30pm Rim Villages, Spanish Valley Drive: pick up at 2:45pm Coyote Cabins: pick up at 3:10pm At the end of the evening, we will offer an early and late ride home. First pick up: 9:30pm Last pick up: midnight *There is parking at Whispering Oaks, but we highly encourage you to make use of the shuttles. These are winding mountain roads that are not lit at night!

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

You know we love your dogs, but Whispering Oaks has a strict no dog policy. If you have concerns, please reach out to us. Sadly, our welcome party and wedding will not be dog friendly.

Are kids and babies invited?

Answer

A loving reminder that our wedding is an adults only event. While we adore your children, our venue does not have room for all the little ones. We are welcoming the little ones to our Welcome Party at Red Cliffs Lodge on Friday, 10/11. Please note, there is not a "kid menu" that evening, so please plan accordingly!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

October in Moab is our favorite. Temps in the desert and along the river can be in the 70s during the day and 50s at night. Whispering Oaks is at a higher elevation in the La Sal Mountains and will be cooler. A good rule is about 20 degrees cooler than Moab. It could be pretty chilly at night, so plan for plenty of warm clothes! There will be lots of outside time, but dinner and dancing will be inside and heated.

Is there cell service?

Answer

Cell service is spotty around these parts! Fine in downtown Moab, but you lose it as you drive out the river road (towards Red Cliffs). Have maps pulled up! There is no cell service around Whispering Oaks, but wifi on the property.

Getting around...

Answer

You will most likely need to rent a car as the surrounding area is rural and things are spread out. Travel Time: -1 hr 35 minutes to downtown Moab from Grand Junction Regional Airport -25 minutes to Red Cliffs from downtown Moab -40 minutes to Whispering Oaks from downtown Moab -35 minutes to Whispering Oaks from Red Cliffs Lodge

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

For the Welcome Party on Friday, 10/11, you will need to take care of your own transportation. Please drive safe! If you are staying at or close by to Whispering Oaks, we will have a shuttle to and from the Welcome Party that evening. On Saturday, 10/12, there will be shuttles from downtown Moab and Red Cliffs Lodge to our wedding at Whispering Oaks. There will be shuttles to bring folks back to those locations at the end of the night--an earlier shuttle (9/9:30 PM) and a later shuttle (12/12:30AM).
