Travel to Koh Samui

We have found affordable flights from Perth to Phuket on booking.com for $590 round-trip per person. Through Jetstar (departing) and AirAsia (arriving). You will need to add in 20kg bag, we suggest doing this online as it will save you a lot of money than doing it at the airport Phuket (HKT) → Koh Samui (USM) Once you land in Phuket, you have multiple options to reach Koh Samui: 1. Budget-Friendly Route: Bus + Ferry 🚌⛴ (Cheapest Option) Cost: $30 – $50 AUD (one way). Duration: ~7–9 hours. How to Book: Book a bus + ferry combo ticket on 12Go Asia or at local travel agencies in Phuket. Take a bus/minivan from Phuket to Donsak Pier (Surat Thani) (~5–6 hrs). Catch the Raja Ferry, Seatran Ferry, or Lomprayah Catamaran to Koh Samui (~1.5–2 hrs). 💰 Best for: Budget travellers who don’t mind a longer trip. Faster Route: Flight from Phuket to Koh Samui ✈️ (Convenient but Expensive) Cost: $120 – $250 AUD (one way). Duration: ~1 hour. Airline: Bangkok Airways (the only airline operating this route). Booking Tip: Book early as prices increase closer to departure. 💰 Best for: Those who want to save time. Mid-Range Option: Private Transfer + Ferry 🚗⛴ Cost: ~$150 AUD per group (cheaper if shared). Duration: ~6 hours. How: Book a private taxi from Phuket to Donsak Pier (4-5 hrs), then ferry to Koh Samui (1.5 hrs). 💰 Best for: Groups or families who want comfort without flying.
