Desert Botanical Garden
If you're looking for a relaxing way to spend part of the day before the celebration, we highly recommend a visit to the Desert Botanical Garden. Guests of our wedding receive complimentary admission, making it the perfect opportunity to explore one of our favorite spots in the area. Be sure to check out the Wildflower Trail and Butterfly Pavilion!
Papago Park
One of our favorite spots to take Kobe for walks, Papago Park is perfect if you want a taste of Arizona hiking without the intensity of some of the steeper trails nearby. Its scenic, gently rolling paths make for an easy, enjoyable stroll, and the iconic red rock formations are a beautiful backdrop for a little outdoor adventure while visiting the area.
Phoenix Zoo
The Phoenix Zoo is right next door to the Desert Botanical Garden and Papago Park, so it’s an easy stop if you’re in the area. While it won’t be decorated for Christmas in March, it’s one of our favorite annual traditions to stroll through their Christmas lights display. Even without the decorations, it’s full of local wildlife and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the city — definitely a fun stop while visiting Phoenix!
PopStroke
For a fun, casual activity during your stay, check out PopStroke. This outdoor mini golf spot offers a lively atmosphere, plus food and drinks. It's perfect for a laid-back afternoon or evening!
Old Town Scottsdale
Old Town Scottsdale is a popular spot for visitors that has a mix of shops, restaurants, art, galleries, and walkable streets. It's an easy, convenient option if you're looking to spend a few hours out and about before the celebration begins!
Talking Stick Resort Hotel
With a lively casino, relaxing pool, and full-service spa, Talking Stick is a great spot to unwind or enjoy a little entertainment during your stay.
