Borromean Islands
A MUST DO! Named after the noble Borromeo family, who have owned them since the 16th century, the islands—principally Isola Bella (beautiful museum and gardens), Isola Madre, and Isola dei Pescatori—offer a mix of cultural heritage and natural beauty. The islands are easily accessible by ferry. Our welcome party will take place on Isola dei Pescatori!
Funivie del Lago Maggiore
The Funivia is a gondola lift across the lake in Laveno, nearby where Hailee's family lives! You can easily take the ferry to other side of the lake, purchase a ticket and see the views!
Experience Lago Maggiore - Attività in Barca a Vela
We have known Catalina & Paolo for four years and they are incredible! They provide different experiences on the lake such as private sailboat tours with music, etc. We highly recommend the private sailboat tour - it was one of our favorite days ever!
Milano
Take the train to Milan to explore for the day! If you go to Milan, you MUST get a Liuni Panzerotti!
Piccolo Lago Restaurant
Foodies - this is a must do! This beautiful waterfront restaurant has 2 Michelin Stars. We went here in June of 2025 and had the MOST amazing tasting experience. It is about a 20 minute drive to the small beautiful lake of Mergozzo.

Stroll around downtown Stresa! Via Mazzini and Corso Umberto I are two of the main streets where you’ll find many boutique shops and gift stores. These are easy to explore on foot while you’re walking the lakefront or heading between cafés and sights.

This store in downtown Stresa is a MUST! The owner is incredible - they have authentic ceramics and Murano glass which are great for gifts or souvenirs.
