Transportation will not be provided for the rehearsal lunch. If you are planning to use Disney transportation, please leave an hour and a half before your scheduled arrival time. Find the bus station at your resort hotel. Board the 'Magic Kingdom' bus and get off of the bus once you have arrived. Follow the signs to the 'Resort Monorail' at the Magic Kingdom. Board the Resort Monorail and disembark the Monorail once you arrive at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Please ask a cast member for directions to the Wedding Pavilion or Luau Beach. If you are renting a scooter, please bring the scooter with you to this event there is a 5 minute walk from the lobby to the Pavilion or Beach. Uber and Lyft are also commonly used around the Walt Disney World Resort and is a more time efficient option since they will take you directly to your intended location. While a lot of other couples are requiring their guests be vaccinated against COVID-19, we are NOT requiring our guests be vaccinated. We believe that it is a personal choice that you can only make for yourself. With that said, while there are currently no protocols currently put in place (as in, testing and vaccination status), we encourage you to get tested 48-72 hours before our rehearsal or wedding day just to ease everyone's anxiety. For the 2 weeks leading up to our wedding, we would be incredibly appreciative if you could take extra precautions and wear a mask in public places. We have some of our grandparents attending and there will be some immunocompromised individuals attending, so we would be very appreciative if you could do your part in making this a safe event for everyone.
Unfortunately, at this time, you will need to bring a mask. Masks are required on all transportation as well as guest seated during the ceremony, and walking around and dancing during the reception since both events are indoors. While this is not ideal, we would really appreciate it if you could try to follow Disney's Fairytale Weddings protocols. Luckily, during formal photos, masks may be taken off during pictures, but they will have to be put right back on after the picture is taken. Since masks are currently required in all public indoor areas, we will do our best to take as many pictures outdoors and in our private ceremony and reception venues.
The short answer is- yes, please bring one. You will need it if you take any form of transportation or if you go inside the Grand Floridian to use the restroom, go to the bar, etc. During the actual party, since we are hoping the weather will cooperate and we will be able to have it outdoors, we do not anticipate that masks will be required at that event. But in these crazy times, we will not be able to guarantee that until the day actually comes since protocols change rapidly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
About 30 days prior to our wedding, you will be emailed a waiver from Disney. It will ask you to read over the protocols and sign it, stating that you will follow the protocols and will not hold Disney responsible if you become ill after the event. You will need to have this signed before you can attend any of our events, including our rehearsal, so please try to have this completed before you leave home. A waiver will be emailed to everyone 18 years or older.
