For our welcome party, we want you to be comfortable! Come as you are - sundresses, jeans, T-shirts, and everything in between works for us. We want you to feel at ease and ready to celebrate with us! (Except sweats and athletic wear - please save those for the trip home.)
For the ceremony and reception we ask that our guests come dressed in cocktail attire. For women this typically means a dress that falls anywhere from knee-length to the floor, or even a pantsuit or elegant separates. For men, a suit and tie is perfect - no tux required. It will be springtime, so feel free to have some fun with your outfit—a unique pattern or a pop of color is always welcome. Think polished and festive!
We have a block of rooms reserved at the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel. We also recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites Winston-Salem Downtown for a more affordable alternative. Check out the "Travel" page for more information.
Yes! There will be two 38-passenger buses leaving the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel at 2:30 pm. Guests wishing to ride the shuttle should gather near the valet station around 2:15 pm. One bus will depart the venue at 8:45 pm to drop off guests at the Hampton Inn and Kimpton Cardinal who decide to leave a bit early. The reception will end at 9:30 pm, and two buses will depart the venue at 9:45 pm. Both buses will make stops at Roar for the afterparty, the Hampton Inn, and the Kimpton Cardinal. Anyone not riding the bus back to the hotel should plan to drive themselves or schedule a ride share in advance, as there may be a long wait for a car to reach the venue.
There is a parking lot available on site. After you turn into the driveway off Stony Ridge Road it is located on your left. Golf cart shuttles will transport guests between the parking lot and the ceremony and reception site.
