In August of 2021, Paige made the move from Fresno, California to Durango, Colorado, ready for a fresh start in a cozy mountain town. Meanwhile, TJ had long called the area home, having grown up just down the road in Bayfield. On August 3rd, 2022 Paige decided to download Tinder, not necessarily looking for love, but hoping to meet new people and make the most of her new adventure. After finishing her profile, she started swiping and came across TJ’s. She swiped right without hesitation, and TJ sent a cheeky hello. A date was set for the very next day on August 4th (who asked who is still up for debate). They met at the local softball field and played catch, where Paige and TJ were equally impressed and grateful for the other's athleticism. Over a late lunch at Steamworks, they shared their values, felt captivated by each other’s charm, and delighted in the ease of their connection. What was meant to be a casual afternoon turned into an all-day adventure: a spontaneous round of golf, an unexpected thunderstorm, deep conversations at an overlook, and a moment under the open sky in a nearby field. By the end of the night, neither of them wanted the date to end. They both deleted Tinder the next day. The rest, as they say, is history.
