If you are looking to explore a beautiful historical city, we highly recommend Bath! You can take a train from Tauton to Bristol and then Bristol to Bath, the train ride is about an hour and is pretty easy to navigate. Bath is very walkable, you can visit the iconic Roman Baths, the Royal Cresent, the Pump Room where Jane Austen once had tea, and browse all of the cute shops and cafes.
If you have extra time, we highly recommend exploring Exmoor National Park. You can see the sea cliffs, winding costal paths, and cute little towns along the shoreline. We visited the Lynton & Lymouth Cliff Railway driving through Exmoor and it was amazing! The railway was built in 1888 and only one of three cliff railways powered by water left in the world!
About half an hour from Crowcrombe Court is one of the most picturesque spots in the area. Dunster castle is set on a hill, overlooking a storybook village with beautiful countryside views. It is the perfect way to spend the afternoon exploring the Somerset countryside!

Stonehenge is one of the most famous landmarks in the UK and is actually on the way from Heathrow Airport towards Crowcombe Court, making it a worthwhile stopping point!
The Cotswolds are about 1.5-2 hour drive from Crowcombe and offer picture-perfect storybook villages, cozy pubs, and quintessential English charm. It's an ideal area for an overnight stay or to do a few days of exploring the beautiful towns.
Cardiff, the capital of Wales, is just across the bridge and about 1.5-2 hours away from Crowcombe. There is a castle in the city center, a vibrant waterfront, and a great food and music scene.
