Q: Are children invited?

Answer

To allow all of our guests to relax and enjoy the celebration, and due to the intimate and space-constrained nature of the island venue, we have chosen to have an adult-only wedding (18+). We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and we hope you can enjoy the weekend with a night off! We hope this early notice will allow you to make arrangements and enjoy a weekend getaway on the island.

Q: How do I get to Stout's Island?

Answer

A: Stout's Island is a private island accessible only by a short, complimentary ferry ride from the Shore House/Parking Lot on the mainland. Mainland Address (for GPS): Stout's Island Lodge Parking Lot or 2799 27th St, Birchwood, WI 54817. The address will bring you to the main parking lot. A gravel path leads to the Shore House and the ferry dock. Please be ready to board at the dock.

Q: What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

A: The ceremony is planned for the South Lawn, and the reception is typically held in a nearby tent. While paths are mostly wood and gravel, you will be walking on grass at times. We strongly recommend block heels, wedges, or dressy flats. Thin heels or stilettos are not recommended as they will sink into the grass.

What is there to do on Saturday?

Answer

Saturday at Stout's Island is best spent enjoying the lake and the property's natural beauty. You can enjoy the water with complimentary canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards, or relax on the South Lawn with lawn games like bocce ball and croquet. Explore the island's hiking trails, or simply unwind in the Great Room. You can also leave the island, just be cautious on timing with ferries and getting back! For off island options (local activities, local dining & shopping, golf at the Tagalong Golf Course, etc.), please refer to the "Recreation" tab on the Stout's Island website.

Will there be shuttles for people off Island?

Shuttle Schedule: Friday - Pick up at 5:10PM at the Holiday Inn Express Friday - Pick up at 11:00PM at Stout's Island Lodge Dock Saturday - Pick up at 2:45PM at the Holiday Inn Express Saturday - Pick up #1 at 11:00PM at the Holiday Inn Express Saturday - Pick up #2 at 11:45PM at the Holiday Inn Express If you are not staying at the Holiday Inn Express - please text Maggie ASAP with your address so we can accomodate!
