Maid of Honor
Lissie is the bride's sister by blood and best friend by choice. From age 3.5 on, the bride has relied on her little sis for everything from tear-filled hugs to allying against their parents (slash the world) to encouraging her to watch One Tree Hill instead of doing homework. Tara couldn't be more grateful to have a lifelong clothes-sharing buddy and an Anna to her Elsa. They both agree that 2020 is the best year to get married!
Best Man
Friends with Brian since birth, Jake has grown up beside the groom from the backyard sandbox playing with toy trucks to weekend hi-jinx in high school. Luckily they've both grown up a lot, and now don't wear nearly as much denim.
Bridesmaid
Tara & Alli met at two years old and haven't stopped chit-chatting since. They were lucky to spend their childhoods together making up dances to Broadway tunes with lil sisters Liss & Lauren (and never being too bossy). After 12 years of studying side-by-side, acting in a grocery-store based musical, going to a couple of proms & an AP Gov Championship, and spending every Christmas Eve together-- they are more than ready to support each other in walking down the aisle in 2020.
Groomsman
Friends since middle school, Tim and Brian's proudest accomplishment together was (and still is) winning the PAL Basketball Championship in 10th grade with fellow groomsman Matt. If they've learned anything in all their travels together, it's to always bring a poncho to a DMB concert.
Bridesmaid
Emily is the groom's sister and Tara's future sister-in-law (to the bride's delight.) They share loves of soy milk, the works of Amy Sherman-Palladino, important Marches (both NYC Women's and Little Women,) and sometimes Italian food. She has put up with brother Brian through a few broken model airplanes, many "nothing with a plug timeouts", and Brian's raging college essay about wet towels on the bathroom floor-- and for that she deserves an award!
Groomsman
Matt and the groom first met playing lacrosse with each other in 3rd grade. Since then, their relationship has subsisted on sarcastic comments and always missing each other's calls. Part of the infamous 10th grade championship team, Matt has been there to rebound Brian's missed bank shots ever since.
Bridesmaid
The bride was fortunate to be placed with Alicia as a roommate freshman year at Holy Cross, where her kindness in taking the top bunk and being happy with only half the closet cemented her in Tara's life forever. Though one an English major and the other Math, they still somehow found ways to see each other almost daily for choir, naps, trips to the Salty Dog, photography class sessions, and thrown-together dinners. Forever each other's first wives!
Groomsman
Mike will soon be Brian's BIL (Brother-in-Law for those not in the know.) They enjoy long walks in the sand trap together and fancy themselves Michelin-star chefs (as long as you ask for a cheeseburger). They've somehow turned the word "Spider" into a term of endearment in the Grieco household.
Bridesmaid
Breanne and Tara first met in Prof. Mulrooney's Poetry 101 class freshman year and spent many subsequent hours throughout college pulling all-nighters writing about Jane Austen and Hawaii, with frequent Backstreet Boys singalong breaks. They can spend days together as kindred spirits doing nothing but embroidery while watching historical movies. The girls now find it vital to discuss every show they watch and book they read over text despite any geographical distance.
Groomsman
Josh and Brian lived across the hall from each other freshman year of college, played club lacrosse together (they're definitely still not upset they got cut from the Varsity team), and are a part of the Oneonta fam group. Turns out, they've now inadvertently become actual family, after Josh married the bride's cousin Ali.
Bridesmaid
Katie and Tara were fortunate to meet amidst the chlorine waters of Hauppauge pool when they were just eleven. Besides helping the bride through her teenage years, Katie has made it through a lot with Tara-- Abercrombie shopping sprees, Kelly Clarkson screech-a-longs, military swim camps, and road trips before smartphones. They are lucky to still be as close as ever even though they no longer wear fastskin bathing suits, and have matured to have intellectual conversations that do not involve Chad Michael Murray.
Groomsman
Seth was Brian's college roommate--their ingenuity really shown through freshman year when, faced with the lack of living space, they decided to hastily bunk their beds. (It was well worth the constant threat of collapsing so that they could fit two TVs.) Even though they do not see each other as much as they used to, they still find a way when they are together to lose their IDs and credit cards at the bar.
Bridesmaid
Ariel is the bride's cousin who she was always thrilled to have so close in age. They've spent many hours through the years playing wacky dress up, torturing their grandfather together, sharing books, and ringing in new years with their families. They share an affinity for YA novels, geeking out over all manner of movies, the color purple, Game of Thrones (of course), and the Star Wars prequel trilogy (no judgement).
Flower Girl
Grace is the bride's cousin. Her favorite animals right now are cats and hedgehogs. She also loves hip-hop gymnastics and playing the piano. She shares a love of Little House on the Prairie with her cousin. At the wedding she will be 8 years old!
Flower Girl
Autumn is the bride's youngest cousin! She loves ballet, tap, and shares a love of Moana with the bride. Minnie Mouse is her favorite. At the wedding she will be 5 years old, and can’t wait to wear white with flowers in her hair!
Flower Girl
Zelda is the daughter of bridesmaid Breanne, and goddaughter of Tara and bridesmaid Alicia. Her best friend is her dog Obi, her favorite food is broccoli, and she now has FIVE whole teeth. At the wedding, she will be almost 14 months old!
