Matron of Honor
It was always going to be Tess.
Fellow of the Ring
Conor was Forrest's very first friend, and how lucky they are for that. Conor is the goodest good boy in the whole world. Everyone gets 10% nicer when Conor enters the room, just by osmosis.
Bridesmaid
Together, Hayley and Greta survived The Wars (grad school, dating, the 1st Trump election). Their lives could not have been uglier, but, together, they were safe and sound.
Fellow of the Ring
Skyler is Forrest's baby brother, but more importantly, their friend. They play DND together, giggle about family history, and share a love of new recipes.
Bridesmaid
The best forced-friend a girl could ask for. Greta and Amber met in 3rd grade, and there is absolutely no reason why their friendship should work, but, God, it does. And, God, do they love one another.
Fellow of the Ring
Braeden and Forrest met as little baby dorks in junior high, and have spent the past 20 years being one another's number one supporters beneath layers and layers of ribbing and ego-checks.
Bridesmaid
The only explanation for Ross is that the universe decided to balance out some of the evil in the world, and so it made Ross. There's no good reason Greta should be so lucky to have him as her brother, but she's never looked a gift horse in the mouth.
Fellow of the Ring
Avery is Forrest's favorite Gault, and Forrest is Avery's favorite Knapp. Forrest loves Avery's sense of humor, justice, and joy.
Ring Bearer
Teddy is Forrest and Greta's beloved nephew. He loves anything with a handle, smirking, swimming in the bathtub, and mangos. Say "hi" to him while you can. He can't stay for the dancing or he will upstage the bride.
Flower Girl
Forrest & Greta's perfect, angel child. Their favorite thing in the world. She's never done anything wrong in her life, ever. Nobody tell her that she was born out of wedlock.
Officiant
Lisa was Forrest's nanny growing up and they quickly developed a deep connection that lasted years beyond, including fortuitously being born on one another's half birthdays (so it's kinda hard to forget). Luckily, Lisa is also a Harvard (and Yale, too!) educated Unitarian Universalist minister. Greta and Forrest deeply appreciate her open-minded spirituality and earnest commitment to goodness.
