Great casual brunch or lunch. Seat yourself and scan the QR code to order! Kelly loves the baked egg strata for her morning meal. Greg's morning favorite is the Corner Store breakfast sandwich. Either pairs well with a side of the crispy smashed potatoes.
We love their lattes and cold brew! Unbeatable quality, and prices that make you feel like it's still pre-COVID. There's a solid chance you'll see Kelly when you walk in to this cafe, it's her home away from home.
We love their traditional food from Ecuador and the Andean Highlands! Come as you are. Very casual, warm, and welcoming. Does not accept reservations, but there is rarely a wait. Start with an empanada and one of their rotating house-made refreshments. Their chaulafan (Ecuadorian fried rice) is truly unique and delicious, split that or be ready for leftovers.
Ukranian food that has been around since 1954. Kramarczuk's won the 2013 America's Classic award from the James Beard Foundation. Casual, cafeteria style service. Get anything on the menu, as long as you get some pierogis on the side. You gotta get the pierogis. Card only, cash not accepted.
Open for brunch, lunch, or dinner. This staple of St. Paul's Cathedral Hill neighborhood offers outstanding Russian and eastern European cuisine. They distill and infuse their own vodkas, and use them to craft excellent cocktails for those with curious tastebuds. Greg recommends the Bloody Mary that they make with their horseradish infused vodka. Za vashe zdrovie!
Pick one, or all three. Lake Bde Mka Ska, Lake of the Isles, and Lake Harriet are a tight cluster of lakes that add a splash of bright, breezy relaxation to south Minneapolis. Interconnected by low speed driveable parkways, and paved bicycle and walking trails. Pack a picnic, or grab lunch in one of the many adjoining neighborhoods. Personally, we recommend the Linden Hills neighborhood near Lake Harriet for a midday meal.
