FAQs

Question

What is the best way to RSVP?

Answer

Both snail mail and online options are available for you to utilize! We prefer online RSVPing to limit what we have to physically keep track of, but we don’t mind our guests RSVPing by mail.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi formal. This will be a beach wedding with reception at a winery, but please leave your Hawaiian shirts at home :)

Question

Is this an indoor or outdoor wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will be held on the beach come rain or shine so pack a rain coat or an umbrella! The reception will be moved indoors if it is raining, but typical August weather on the Oregon coast is 75 and sunny with a light coastal breeze.

Question

What will the wedding day timeline look like?

Answer

Check the schedule tab!

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

To be determined. Check back periodically for updates!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask our guests to refrain from taking photos during our ceremony to allow our photographer to do what they do best. We understand your desire to capture your own pictures, but having everyone present in the moment is something we’d like to prioritize.

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from the ceremony/venue?

Answer

There is parking at the venue, but we are planning to have shuttle services running to and from several locations. More details to come.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The winery is providing their own wine for our guests to enjoy, and local microbrewed beers, plus a hard seltzer. Sorry, no liquor :)

Question

I have dietary restrictions. How should I let you know?

Answer

Please text or call either Greg or me if you have any life threatening threatening allergies and we will make sure to accommodate you!

Question

Are dogs allowed at the wedding?

Answer

For the sake of keeping chaos to a minimum, we ask that you keep your furry friends at home (or at least at the air bnb or hotel that you book, then they can rage on the beach during the after party!)

Question

When does the reception end? Will there be an after party?

Answer

The reception ends at 10pm. Weather permitting (AND fire season permitting!), there will be a bonfire on the beach in Manzanita! BYO!

Question

What are some fun local things to do?

Answer

Please check out the tab titled "Things To Do" for a list of suggestions!

Question

What is your wedding hashtag?

Answer

#tohaveandtohouled You know, like, to have and to hold? Come on it’s a good pun!

Question

Can we come for more than just the weekend?

Answer

Absolutely! Greg and I will be on the coast August 10th - 21st to plan, prep, surf, and enjoy the ocean. Please feel free to make a vacation out of it and hang with us!

Question

What health and safety measures will you be taking for Covid?

Answer

Regardless of weather, our reception space has large barn doors that will be open during the event to allow fresh airflow through the building. We request that all guests follow respectable masking guidelines when traveling. We will be updating our precautionary measures per CDC guidelines as the event approaches.
