Patapsco State Park has many hiking and biking trails, camping sites, and opportunities for fishing or canoeing. There are also playgrounds at the Hollofield and Hilton areas for young ones (or those young at heart).
Ellicott City Historic District
If you are looking for a charming spot to explore, shop, and dine, Old Ellicott City is the place! There are so many great boutiques, restaurants, and bars, and lots of character.
Stella Notte
This is the location of one of our first "fancy" dates together. It is a tradition for Grant to take Ruth out to a birthday date, sitting beneath the twinkling tree inside the restaurant. This is the spot for the perfect cozy Italian meal.
National Mall
Y'all already know that there are tons of free museums, great restaurants, and nice walks (or scooter rides) in DC. For a less well-known, but favorite college activity of ours, take the "slide" rather than the stairs as you leave the Lincoln Memorial. You're welcome.
