Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ)

Montrose is the closest airport to Ouray. Montrose is a regional airport so most flights coming from outside of Colorado will connect through Denver. There are also regional airports in Grand Junction and Gunnison if you'd like to compare prices. For a less expensive flight but much more driving (5.5 hours one way), you could also book your flights in and out of Denver.

Option 1: Rent a Car & Drive to Ouray

The best option for groups will be to rent a car. Car rentals are available for pickup/drop-off at the Montrose Airport. Enterprise, Hertz, and Budget car rentals run about $70 - $130 per day. Drive time from MTJ to Ouray is 45 minutes.

For single travelers, the most cost efficient way to get to Ouray will be to opt-in to a low-cost shared airport shuttle for wedding guests. We will organize shared airport shuttles for those interested after every major flight arriving at MTJ on Friday, August 28 and before every major flight departing from MTJ on Sunday, August 30.
